Our recipes appeal specifically to children in their early years. Dishes and menus are analysed by dieticians to ensure they provide the nutrition children need to play, learn and grow.
It is extremely common for children to develop allergies and intolerances in the early years and in most cases, they grow out of these as they get older. Our menus are designed to accommodate children with different allergies, they provide variation in their diet and are designed to contain different allergens. We also have a range of very simple dishes which are suitable for children with very complex and changing nutritional needs.
Young children can be unsettled by change in their diet, particularly if they have experienced patterns of fussy eating in the past. It is widely understood that a child often needs to experience a dish or new food up to ten times before they begin to feel confident with it. For this reason, we graduate our menus, to allow the introduction of new dishes and widen the palate as children get older and with seasonal changes. This allows children to have a sense of familiarity whilst beginning to experience new flavours and textures.
