Parents as Partners

Our collaborative approach to early year’s childcare and education lies at the heart of what we do here in Ipswich. We value the importance of reciprocal relationships with parents and key family members and go to great lengths to encourage parental involvement along every step of a child’s journey with us.

Starting with a home visit (optional) a member of staff will visit you and your child in your home. During this visit you will meet your child’s key person who will gently over see the transition into our nursery.

Communication is key in supporting your child therefore we have various avenues to suit preferred communication methods. Our open-door policy means you can access the nursery whenever you wish. We greatly value the opportunity to invite you into our setting. There are regular opportunities for look and share as well as special events where parents and family members are invited to take part. Nothing is mandatory but please know you are always welcome.

For the smart phone user we have a communication app where you can keep up to date with your child’s progress by accessing their online learning journal, send messages to your child’s key person and access a daily diary which will keep you updated on matters relating to meals, toileting and general information about your child’s time with us. In addition, you will be able to access your account, pay fee’s and book additional sessions should you wish.

Termly newsletters will keep you up to date on all nursery activities and provide useful information including recipes, activities to do at home with your child and key dates for your diary.

We value our parents input and welcome ideas. Your child is at the centre of everything we do, and no one knows your child better than you do. Just like you, we want the best for your child so making it easy for us to work together is of key importance.
