Continuous professional development means that we stay ahead of the latest policy and research within the child development field and use this within our day to day work with children and families. Our environment is a happy place; embedded within our ethos that all people are valued, encouraged and supported.

Outdoor play is big on our agenda; our garden provides endless opportunities for enhancing children’s overall development. Challenging obstacles, wide open spaces, growing areas, exploration zones and continuous outdoor/indoor provision encourage children’s curiosity, extends their thinking and promotes their physical development.
We are very fortunate to have access to our wonderful indoor playcentre. Children attending the nursery have exclusive use of the incredible facilities each morning as well as organised sessions during other times. With children’s emotional well-being placed at the top of our priority list, physical activity both indoors and out helps to support their self-confidence, resilience and their ability to take controlled risks in a safe environment.
Our aim is to provide a home from home feel so that children adapt easily to their surroundings and feel relaxed and happy. The health and well-being of children is our highest priority. Children who feel safe and comfortable in their environment thrive in all areas of their development.

I am really looking forward to start working with Play2Day nursery and sharing my knowledge experiences with the staff and children of the setting. I am also excited to be able to learn new ways of practice and research into the learning of Early years and be to part of helping the children grow and develop their independence, confidence and becoming ready for any challenges as they grow older. Everyday will be a new day with new experiences and memories built not only for the children, but for me as well.
